Fawn Trey Harris releases six juvenile bald eagles over Washington state’s Skagit River. The eagles were all nursed back to health by Harris and others at the West Sound Animal Shelter.
Harris is featured in my column this week for YES! Magazine. Harris is deeply immersed in the worlds of both traditional indigenous knowledge and of modern science. She holds a masters degree in environmental studies and works as a wildlife rehabilitation technician at a shelter for injured wildlife. She was part of a team that healed six young bald eagles which, just this month, were released into the wild.
I’ll post the rest of the article about her work soon.
