What is the good life? Where do we find well-being and sustainable happiness?
The World Happiness Report says Americans are increasingly unhappy, and the tearing of the social fabric is a major reason. Without common spaces, it can be hard to connect.
While I was in Berlin, I met Elisabeth Meyer-Renschhausen, a sociologist, an author of several books on urban gardening, and an activist working to protect the common spaces — especially gardening spaces — of her city.
